Mukjizat menurut iman kristen (sebuah studi teologis-apologetis)

Dylfard Edward Pandey

Abstract

ABSTRACT

This study aims to explain the concept of miracles in Christian theology and to formulate an apologetic response to modern critiques that question the possibility and rationality of miracles. It highlights the importance of a theological, philosophical, and biblical perspective in understanding miracles as divine acts in history. The research employs a qualitative method using library research with an inductive analytical approach to gather, process, and interpret data from theological, historical, and philosophical sources. The findings show that miracles carry revelatory, soteriological, apologetic, pedagogical, and eschatological functions within the framework of God’s self-disclosure. The analysis of skeptical critiques, especially those of David Hume, demonstrates that philosophical objections to miracles are insufficient both logically and historically. This discussion affirms that miracles remain coherent within a theistic worldview and relevant for the contemporary church as expressions of God’s sovereign action in salvation plan.
